Hello,
My name is Cvetan Karchev and I`m a freelancer. I`ve graduated from the Technical University Sofia with major in Mechatronics  (Mechatronics itself is a combination of several other disciplines : Mechanics, Electrical Engineering , Electronics and Informatics. One good example of what a mechatronic  machine is, is the car – it`s a combination of all above mentioned systems). The theme of my final university-leaving exam was “An Industrial Robot  : Managing and Controlling”.

I went in high-school here in Sofia, my educational profile was Informatics. During my high-school years I`ve had learned how to manage with a good number of computer systems, languages and codes : PASCAL, C/C++, BASIC and so on.  My school-leaving exam was creating a product which was a software about estate management; the software was suitable for WINDOWS. After having that done I was given a certificate which defined me as a Program-Operator. Later, when I got into the Technical University, I took classes which gave me the opportunity to deserve another certificate – CISCO CCNA.

During my third year in the University I realized what I wanted to do for a living : being a web designer. And that pointed my education at another direction : I started devoting my time studying how to manage with HTML, PHP , JAVASCRIPT , CSS and MYSQL. Later that same academic year I found the perfect job for me – I was hired as a webmaster and a system administrator. My duties were to take care of the problem-free work-process of my colleagues and company servers. Apart from that I was keeping myself busy doing other web projects, some of which you would be able to find in my portfolio. Doing all that I was developing my work experience and learned a lot about how a web product must be done in order to be competitive on the market. My last job was being a Quality Assurance Team Leader in a big Bulgarian firm, where I was a leader of a 10-member team. My main responsibilities there were to observe and monitor the quality of the web products so as to distribute among the members of my team their share of the work, which had to be done.  Some of the company products were web orientated and it was my responsibility to test their effectiveness with the help of SELENIUM : a program, based on the idea  of making automatic testing of the reliability of a web program, or any other  web orientated product.

Lately I`ve been thinking about creating a professional field of my own, where I would be able to choose my projects and work engagements. It`s not going to be easy for me to do that, but I`m a hard worker and I know I will succeed.

Final words about me as a regular person – in my spare time I like devoting it to activities, that bring some adrenalin in my everyday life. Thus I relax and feel more stimulated to continue the pursuing of my professional dream and goals.
